I am size 15.75 and hence my options for good fitting OTR dress shirts have always been limited. My question is: if you were my size would you also consider size 16 shirts, realizing that the fit of the collar will be far from perfect. Yes or No answer would do.

Look for Euro sized shirts rather than US sizes. 40cm is very close to 15.75"

This is all started when I realized that all my good fitting shirts started to show their ages and hence I didn't have the luxury to wait for Jantzen shirts for 6 months. So I decided take action and order 5-6 shirts from TM Lewin, which I thought would serve me alright till I get my Janzen's. However, when I was ready to order I realized that they didn't have size 15.75, and it had to be either 15.5 or 16.

This is one of these situations where having a 15.75" neck and a 44" chest is not helping one, there was no way size 15.5 would fit. So it was either size 16 or nothing. Out of frustration I went back to my wardrobe to see how bad my size 16 shirts, which I rarely wear, looked. Not so surprisingly, they didn't look good at all. I was able to insert two fingers between the collar and neck and then another two fingers, even two more fingers were a possibility with enough motivation.

All in all this is one sad story. I really wanted to push this order button.
