A long since planned Shirt Project have now been completed.
A synthetis between a Victorian style shirt (ca 1840-70) and a modern Tuxedo shirt.
The links below have been my main source of inspiration:

The "modern" parts of my design are mainly the cuffs & the collar -
Cuffs - French cuffs, rounded corners.
Collar - Extra Wide Spread, 2-1/2" Points, 1-1/2" Back, No Tie Space.
Each pleat (six, three on each side) each measures 1 1/4" and the placket has the same width - giving the bib a total width
of 8 3/4" - (including the placket) [7 x 1 1/4" = 8 3/4".]
All buttons except the collar button is hidden (by the placket)
The bib is 10 1/2 " long (meassured from bottom of the collar band to the end of the bib) making this a shirt whose
front opening doesn't extend all the way to the bottom end of the front - and has to be put on over the head.
Made to measure in Thailand by Mycustomtailor.com
Please let me know what you think...

How do you prefer trousers to be finished?

  • Plain hem

  • Cuffed (1.5 inches or less)

  • Cuffed (more than 1.5 inches)

  • No preference, as long as the proportions work
