Can anyone identify the brand of shirts that "David Budd" (played by Richard Madden) wears as part of his daily work uniform in the BBC/Netflix show " Bodyguard"?

That looks like a short collared button-down you can get anywhere. Basically any line that's aimed at a younger demographic. If you go to Barney's or something you'll find dozens of them.

Thanks. I'm more interested in the fabric. It appears to be a very textured and softer material. it's probably not noticeable in the pics, but it seems that way when watching it in video.

I can't see much in those photos, but that style is traditionally done up in an oxford cloth. Sometimes people use something called Royal Oxford, which is a little softer.

This is oxford cloth:

As soon as i saw the pictures, i thought it could be a Brutus Oxford shirt (cloth, slim fitting, size and shape of the collar).
Brutus Trimfit (founded in 1966) is a brand that was popular with the mods in the late 60s. The brand stopped activity in the 80s, and was revived by the son of one of the original founder in the early 2000s.
As the TVShow (that i didn't know) seems to be shot in England, i am pretty sure, but it's true that it also can be another brand…
Here is a picture of mine i just took. It's a ss, but they exist in ls too. They made this model around two years ago, not sure they are still doing it. It was available in white, sky blue, and dark blue IIRC.

From the pics, particularly the first one, it looks to me like it's a fine knit, like the ones Kamakura sells.

They're no doubt bespoke or at least MTM...doesn't he also explicitly say this in the series (to hide his body armour / accommodate his pistol)?

it would be interesting @mosy to find a picture where we can see the back of the collar. Brutus shirts have a back collar button - like a lot of other brands though, but it would reduce the search…

@emptym don't you think the Kamakura collars are a tad bigger, three fingers like ?…

@Ich_Dien i guess there are differences between the lines of a character and the imperatives of a wardrobe master...:)

True, but when you're doing the wardrobe for the main character in any production, it usually is bespoke or MTM no matter what. Bodyguard certainly had the budget.

IRL maybe the Metropolitan Police have a MTM program with T.M. Lewin ?

I can't tell TBH as i had never heard of this show before today :-D
Now i wouldn't say in any production, certainly not the case in France for example. Now i guess that for a big-budget American/Brit TVseries it's not the same indeed.

Yes. I was only comparing the fabrics. The Kamakura collars are definitely bigger, and better.

The show is worth watching alone for PS Budd's wardrobe. Very sharp across the board.
