i just received four booklets of fabrics from a hk tailor i am hoping to become a regular custom of very soon. i asked for samples of some of his nicer fabrics and he dispatched 4 booklets all marked "superfine pure cotton shirting from europe" in the middle and "regent" in the lower right corner. the text in quotes are gold text printed on the clear, protective plastic sheet of the booklet.
the first fabric sample in each booklet has a tag from the corresponding producer-- i assume. one is from getzner, two from testa (italy), and one from okutex (swiss).
i particularly like the patterns in one of the testa books (primarily striped patterns) and the getzner books (primarily checked patterns).
i am fairly new to the SF and only recently beginning to understand what goes into a shirt, and would like to know if anyone is familiar with these producers and what their quality would be comparable to. i did some searching, within the SF and internet at large, and came up with little useful information. thanks in advance for your thoughts.
