Shirt collars above jacket lapels

    Brad Pitt in Oceans Eleven depicts this style as well as anyone I have ever seen.

    none of the pictures posted here have convinced me it can be done well. it still looks very period or costumey. it'll come back in style i'm sure [​IMG] maybe when clooney does it.

    I want to do this for my next date. This is what I want to do: t-shirt with images near the neck area, then dress shirt with top 3 buttons unbuttoned to show the images on the t-shirt, then blazer with the collars of the dress shirt above the lapels. So it will look like both the blazer and the dress shirt open into the images on the t-shirt. Good idea?

    And he's still meant to look (and act) like a bit of a goof next to Clooney.



    I wouldn't say that's 'wearing on top' pr se; that's just his crossed arms collapsing a very soft seersucker jacket until the lapels are, in the moment, pushed under the free collar. If he stood up, they'd be more or less as they should.
