Another stylistic abortion from the 1970's...I'd say NO 100% of the time

The only exception acceptable would be if you're wearing a leisure suit of 100% polyester.

    It can be done.
It's worth noting that the sequel to that movie features the following line spoken about Brad Pitt's character:

I think it works in a kind of lounge lizard way.

Clooney looks alot better than Pitt.

If you are going to do it, take pics. Many pics.

Pitt is already wearing his sleeves way too long. Anyway that look reminds me of a combat aircraft model I used to have.

The French guy earlier did it pretty convincingly, but not Pitt. It is definitely a look that people even beyond the forum love to hate. If you are a bit of a show-off anyway, then I don't see why not. I think wearing the ascot actually helps. So, perhaps if you aren't already comfortable wearing an ascot, this would be risky.

That said, the contrarian in me wants to support it. The hatred in this case is so predictable that it almost makes me want to wear my collar out and so long that it ends somewhere around the knee. So bored of Clooney and the praise of him.

I see lots of women doing it and it works fine for them.

    Are you a woman?

Personally, I hate it when women wear collars outside their jacket.

    +1

Most women I see doing this are in a business environment and it just isn't a very business-like look. imo.

And why is "women do it" a good rule for men's clothing?
