How do you care for your shirts?

I thought it would be interesting to see how many of us have shirts washed and hand pressed versus professionally laundered, and how many actually do it themselves.

I have only white shirts professionally laundered...due to bad water in the area. The rest are washed/air-dryed and ironed by myself

Do it myself. Where I live, dry cleaning is apparently considered extravagant, as the prices are at least double what you'd find in e.g. London.

Also, the ritual of ironing is, in some odd way, very therapeutic and relaxing.

I hand wash everything but my T's, underwear and socks. I do own a washer.

Only the stuff I can't do myself (jackets, wool hat etc.) goes to the launder.

I wash and my housekeeper irons. I iron myself if it needs to be done.
