I have a few slim ocbd shirts that fit perfectly in all respects except around my slightly round backside. The length of the shirts are perfect for wearing untucked, but the circumference of the hem is just tight enough to make the shirt hang awkwardly. I feel it's close enough that a little bit of give at the end of the side seams would fix the issue, so my questions are

Does anyone have experience fixing (or having someone fix) this kind of issue?
What would you recommend? Open the seam and stitch it closed a little up the seam? Open it and add one of those triangle patches like some shirts have? Something else?

That is likely your only option.
