Does anyone have any experience with this shoemaker? Any comments about quality and/or value? I'm thinking about the Erskine black derby as a standard dress shoe to wear with suits. Thanks. www.shipton-usa.com/

I would recommend e-mailing Shipton in England regarding who makes the particular shoe you are interested in. They have been very good at e-mailing me who made particular models. From there you can do a search on the Forum as to a particular make of shoe. Many of their shoes that I've inquired about are made by Crockett and Jones.

S & H use both AS and C & J (the latter for the Paris collection). Some of the Paris collection shoes are very nicely styled - certainly nicer than most of the "standard" C & J fare, but also more expensive.
