Does anyone have any recent experience with these shoes? Most of the info in the forums is older. I'm looking for info. on quality, fit compared to AE...They seem to priced in line with AE. They look a lot like CT shoes on their U.S. website, but CT's are usually on sale. Any feedback would be appreciated.

Most of these look like Alfred Sargent 's ... and at that dont seem badly priced
There have been SEVERAL threads RECENTLY on S&H.
You can check out AS's range @pediwear.co.uk
That should give you some more to search on.
I have only tried on a pair of their wholecut in the premier range.
It was not a shoe I bought, I bought some EG's (on sale).
I have never tried a AE or Alden for that matter, so i cant compare.

I bought these brown suede oxfords a few months ago and found that they ran about a half size too big (mostly the width)

I probably could have traded them in for a half size smaller and fit, but the problem with S&H is the shipping back and forth to the UK if you get the wrong size

I have a normal 11 1/2 medium foot and fit fine in AE but these were loose all around, but still wearable.

the quality of the shoe is very high, imho - very well made

if you have a wider foot, they ought to fit you better

Comfortable, conservative shoes. Reasonably priced. I purchased velvet slippers that fit great!

I've been debating ordering from some shoes from S&H. Their Premium shoes now are about $60 less than C&J bench grades from Plal when you add in Shipping. Since styling seems to be a wash, I'm wondering if Shipton is a good value considering those savings.
