Has anyone ever seen these in person and does anyone know how to fold one of these?

Interesting. It does make an artsy fashion statement. More for someone trying to appear non-traditional (like and artist or musician). Perhaps it is the just the thing to replace all of those skull and crossbones designs?

I don't see it working on me however.

From a distance, kinda looks like a pocket full of flower petals. I can't see it working for me.

Yeah I've seen this photo before...I thought he'd sprung a leak...
Even as a designer I don't think I could get away with it either.

Though, having said all that there is something strangely alluring about the effect.

That is what is supposed to look like. Apparently Shibori is a japanese style of clothing art, meant to give fabric texture and dimension. Tie-dye is a standard example of this artform. P.S. Is his neck a little tight?

Is that shibori or shitake? Looks like bubblewrap to me.

I've got 4 (black, magenta, turquoise, and bordeaux?), and to get the "petal" effect, you stuff it in your pocket much like a regular silk square.

You can't get them wet though.

It's definitely a "bla-dow" look @ me piece though. Luckily no one cares where I work.

And speaking of florals

The silk flowers for cuff links are cool, but in Leon (the japanese fashion mag) they often put them in the button hole on the lapel.

I think a bigger silk/cloth flower would be a nice touch if you're wearing something in the evening.
