I ran into an retailer selling these:

He tells me they are shell I am not sure since there are no markings on it that say shell like usual.
This is the Allen Edmond's Jefferson Model.

Thanks for the help!!!

EDITS:

If these are shell they will probably be my first shell shoes. I am pretty excited and wanted to make sure I don't do something that I regret :p

(The other shell vs not shell thread looked dead so I posted here. If there is another live thread tell me and I can post there instead.)

I did see something similar here: http://www.styleforum.net/t/141581/allen-edmonds-appreciation-thread/32985 Search jefferson

And another similar one here

Definitely shell. AE ran a Webgem of the shell Jefferson recently in this color.

Sweet that probably clinches it. I wish they would put the shell cordovan stamp somewhere on it.

+1, looks like shell. The coloring, way the edges are cut, material thickness, etc.

I found another shoe that to me kinda looks like shell but again my eye is untrained. (Maybe just an really nice layer of polish?)
The sole definitely does not have the regular AE shell marking. They are new condition.
They say they were made for Freeman's Sporting Club.

Thanks

PS. I actually bought my first pair of shells now. Thanks for the help so far!!!
