How many different types of Shell Corodvan colors, including Pebble Grain varieties...made by Horween are there?

What are the different names and shell numbers assigned to them?

Pictures of the different types would be welcome

In addition to black and #8, there are pictures of cigar and whiskey at theshoemart.com.

I just went hunting on Ron Rider's Martegani blog b/c he had samples of all (ok many) of the colors laid out. It looks like he stripped the blog down to start over and it's all gone. I seem to think if you search for some of Ron's posts on SF you might find a couple of the pics though.

Black
#8
#4
Mahogany
Cigar
Whiskey
Natural
Blue
Green

And I'm sure there are more.

There's Ron's exclusive #6 too. Mahogany might be my fave.

I only recently realized that untinted shell is pure pink/cream color, just like other calf leather.

This leads me to believe you can make shell into any color you want.

I appreciate everyone's responses

What color is Shell#6?

If I dont' grab any opportunity through Ron Rider...then I'm looking at making 3-4 Cordovan shoes and boots from Vass...so I'm trying to see what options are available

Unfortunately Horween's web site provides no assistance to assist this thread

I appreciate members posting their shoes in various Shell colors...but would really enjoy seeing Shell Cordovan shoes made by Vass to better assist my future purchases

Ron describes #6 as lighter than #8 but, IIRC, darker than #4. Here's an example:

I'm not expert by any means but Alden told me that it's relatively easy to get the material to take on a cordovan color or a black, and relatively hard to make some of the browns. They didn't specify a reason, but I did have to wait 18 months for a pair of slip-ons in #4.
