Sheen's Cheap Suit
4 June 2008 5:59 PM, PDT

Newlywed Charlie Sheen got married in a cheap suit from a discount store.

Rather than pick an expensive designer to create a fancy outfit for his wedding to Brooke Mueller on Friday, took a trip to the Men's Wearhouse near his Los Angeles home.

The most expensive suit at the store is $599.99 (GBP300) - a bargain for the wealthy Two and a Half Men star.

Sheen explains, "I like their commercials a lot.

"I got tired of $3,000 suits falling apart in the middle of certain events. I didn't wear a tux because they're hot and they don't breathe."

I was just discussing this matter with a colleague. I wondered why Sheen thought cheaper suits would be more durable. My colleague explained that if Sheen is rough on suits, better to destroy a cheaper suit than a more expensive one. AHA!

I hope this doesn't cause the ,scales, to fall from the eyes of Sheen groupies. MW certainly fills a niche though.

Certain events? What, like beating up hookers? I could see how you'd need a garment that breathed when you're working up a sweat like that.

Nice, but I still think she's a comedown from Denise Richards!

My surmise would be that his $3,000 suits that disintegrated must have been some overpriced crapola designer suits. I still find even that hard to believe.

Denise Richards 5-10 years ago, yeah, it's a comedown. Today, I'm not really sure.

Yeah, plus he's probably constantly getting the stuff like lipstick, bronzers, tanning sprays, glitter crap from strippers/hookers on his suits. If that's the way he rolls, he might as well wear and destroy $300 fusejobs.

I wouldn't have done what he did with his money, but a Mens Wearhouse sportcoat got me through an internship at Bloomberg years ago, and I was one of the best dressed in his office. Sad but true.

After he buys the suit that leaves him $2400 to spend on hookers.
