Shanghai Tang Hong Kong Custom Tailoring

Has anyone tried to custom tailoring options from Shanghai Tang (Pedder St)?

Do they have their own custom tailoring group or are they outsourcing to a tailor in HK? If so who?

I was considering a overcoat from them. The prices are expensive, but they offer some hip options. A long winter coat was in the 40,000 HK range and takes 3 weeks.

This may be out of my price range.

Any advice is welcome.

I'd give W. Sanford a look. He's the brother of a friend, but he also seems to really know his stuff, judging by the website.

david tang hasn't been connected with shanghai tang since richemont bought it, and afaik they've several head designers in there eversince. fyi.
