I've actually been pretty happy with the one jacket I got from them a year and a half ago. I've worn it a ton, washed it a few times, and it's still looking fine. The fit was fantastic as well. I always struggle to find jackets with really slim arms, but I find theirs to be perfect.

I did get a pair of their pleated shorts at the UO sale. They were a bit billowy, but were easy enough to tailor.

Personally i don't put any of my clothes in the dryer with the exception of workout shirts, underwear, socks, and basketball shorts.

SoG fabrics and construction/fabrics usually are poor to mediocre depending on the piece and a lot of times the pieces are lame and/or overstyled but you can sometimes snag a decent piece for cheap especially on sale so all in all it's nice to have the brand around

35 bucks a pop for the more conservative shirts isn't a bad deal imo... i agree though some of their stuff is kind of out there like some of the military style jackets.

Whatever you do, do not place a Shades piece in the drier unless you like massive shrinkage! This brand shrinks as much as an AA t-shirt. The only thing good about this brand is the design and fit.

It is really a shame about this brand's quality since their lead designer (Micah) is talented and seemed like a really nice guy when I talked with him via e-mail. I think if they focused more on quality the brand could evolve into a bunch better place than where it is today.

i don't like the look of this season's pieces. When it comes down to it, other than some pants and the bags I only see two pieces of tops/outerwear I like.

edit: cross that I like this and this.
