I think Malinda... ...are charming people.
Hmmm... Then that can't be THE Malinda...Perhaps a pen name for someone who rules like Attila the Hun. Which, in that position its a good thing. (In case someone is watching

) PS: AAAC has now become just like SF... they are talking about a club tie. Time to bring this baby back to the table for discussion...

You've come a long way baby:

If I may quote you... (From the SF Tie Thread)

Well, I'm all for it, though I'd rarely have a chance to wear it. Should the colors or pattern represent something? I'm unfamiliar with the design of tie patterns.

A seeming contradiction in quotes from Dear Leader. Please, edit your post so the others won't become disturbed... If I got a tie with Andy's pic and forum logos woven into it, I'd make a point of wearing it.

Well... I think that there is little problem with members becomeing disturbed, as the first quote was while you were still a human and now you have become a monkey as evident by your avatar. Yes, you may make a point of wearing it... but every DAY???

I've been bit and I've been tossed around by every she-rat in this town... have you, babe? I'm a sack of broken eggs and I always have an unmade bed.

Just hope I'm not too messianic or a trifle too Satanic...

Maybe he's planning on using it for a headband.

Wow. I just read the WASP thread on AA and my opinion of the forum slipped a bit. Some people need to climb off of their high horses and recognize a joke when they see it.

A may have its issues with trad, but SF seems to take the canvas vs. fused issue to bizarre lengths. If I posted a question about boxer shorts, I would expect to be quizzed as to whether the boxes were canvassed, 1/2 canvas, or fused...and if they're fused, they're crap. Yep, no pretension on SF.

Paying the level of attention to your dress that we do is inherently pretentious, and we should all just accept that.

You may be referring to my response in said thread, so I'll quickly say that the orginal poster pushed me to the breaking point (over the past months since he began his 'participation'). I don't think it was a terribly funny joke, even if that is how it was eventually referred to... just lame and pointless, imo.

Lets all go back to playing nice. Thankfully we have both forums available so that one goes down the other can be there to pass the time, and vice versa. You dont like the other one? Dont go there. Have a great weekend all.

My .02 cents, I enjoy both fora.  Each has its strengths and weeknesses as has been stated already.

Now, in regards to this thread, I think that is has shown the shortcomings of some of the posters on SF more than anything else.  Just as telling everyone you are a gentleman excludes you from being one, going on one clothes forum to disparage people on another shows you are no better than the people you are disparaging.
I agree entirely. I see at least two commonalities between SF and AskAndy, one positive and one negative:

(1) A small number of members in both fora who contribute disproportionately to the number of knowledgeable and informative posts on clothing and apparel. I've been benefited from some extremely helpful advice - mostly on AskAndy but also here. Thank you to those members.

(2) The tendency to engage mouth (or keyboard) before filtering through the brain. This has lead to some rather mindboggling accusations, counterthreats and multipage flameouts. But then again par for course since this is an anonymous internet discussion forum with the "normal" constraints of face-to-face conversation removed.
