A little fun this past weekend. Here's a 3-pc Kligours, white herringbone FC shirt, burgundy ECCOs, and vintage accessory (it's a Model of 1928 Thompson with 50rnd Drum Magazine, ROF 600rnds/min) for the MC-types:

And this (Old Navy jacket, boring jeans, MAC10/45 + Suppressor, ROF over 800rnds/min) is for the SW&D-types...

Let me tell you that wearing a 3-pc at a range gets you some strange looks. Perhaps if I had a fedora they would have 'gotten it' more. I really need one, but it's hard to find what I want. This is fun -- next time I go shoot Sporting Clays it will be with my tweed shooting coat. The cognoscenti will notice the number of cases visible in the 1/250s exposure. Last gun thread I started ended rather acrimoniously, but hey.

Hunstman, are those yours or were they range rentals?

Actually, I like to think of myself as more 'On the Side of Law and Order' (the Auto-Ordnance corporation's motto), than gangster, perhaps with a dash of Men In Black's "I make this look good." Melvin Purvis and Elliott Ness were some sharp dressers. Also John Garand (the legacy of which I also spent some time with on the 200yd line).

EA, I don't do rentals.

No comment beyond that. The last one was your thread? Oh well, CIII stuff has a pretty unimpeachable crime record, and is so heavily regulated compared to normal stuff, so maybe we can escape animosity. <thinks yeah, right>.

I was firing the rifle below and a Mosin Nagant carbine (we don't do rentals, either) at my family's traditional day-after-Christmas trip to the range. The one below is fun to shoot but the Mosin Nagant is a beast with its 7.62x54R shells.

Wow, seriously? Heh, nice. Good old Soviet iron. For extra points wear a Chistopol watch and drive a 1980's Lada Niva with worn out tyres to the range!

P.s. any pics? Please?

It'd be cool to have a thread of people shooting somehow SF-style, with whatever the appropriate garb for the firearm in question. Will looky see if I have any more piccys in that vein myself.

dah, your family does a traditional range trip?! That's a trip in itself.

Did you check the SW&D What Are You Wearing Now thread? I've got a pic of me in there shooting a CZ 75. Posted sometime around the 4th or so (of this month). Obviously nowhere near as cool as firing a Thompson in a 3-piece, of course.

Sauce, if that's the case, I'd say your pinko commie cred is in question.
