I am putting this in Men's Clothing forum instead of General or Entertainment because I want to do this moreso with my fellow compatriots here.

I thought this would be fun to have an 'office pool' with sf clothing buddies.

Here is the grid:

sfpool-5.jpg

This is for the Super Bowl:

Pick any spot (each spot is $2, you can buy up to 4 spots max).

At the end of each quarter of the super bowl, if your numbers aligned with your box (e.g. AFC 3 and NFC 0) matches the ones column of the final score of that quarter, you win something.

****************
prizes upgraded:

End of First quarter and Third quarter: Free Shipped Holliday &Brown tie (choices limited due to sales) AND a $5 Starbucks gift certificate

Halftime: $37 gift cert to any of the following mentioned in Final score prize.

Final Score: Free Shipped Massimo Bizzocchi tie AND a Holliday&Brown tie (choices limited due to sales)

OR

a Free Shipped CJIABA watch Black face/strap.

OR

a $65 GIFT CERTIFICATE to the following:
Brooks Brothers, STP, Amazon, Virtualclotheshorse, ShopFinest, A Harris, FIHTies, Sam Hober, Kent Wang, Chorse123, edmorel, rnoldh, or any other prominent bona-fide seller here on sf that I missed. Including my stuff on sf or Nordstrom.
If BB, STP, or Amazon etc, Please use the gift cert through the links above to support forum. For A Harris, FIHTies, chorse123, et al... I will contact one of you so that i can pay you for 65 dollar amount if winner chooses you. Thanks.
Your choice.

Note: you can possibly win multiple times due to your squares hitting on any quarter.

Massimo Bizzocchi ties retails over $150 and the H&B ties retails over $135
PIXAR Ratatouille DVD is brand new shrinkwrapped from Best Buy and retails 20 dollars.

Any Starbucks gift cert can be exchanged for another merchant of your choice, considering it is accessible by me locally. Thanks.

Moderators, I do not know the legality of doing this publicly on a forum; if anyone knows this is illegal or there are parameters of doing this or ramifications for doing it wrong, please let me know, I will alter or just cancel whole thing (lawyerdad, et al, please advise). Thank you.

Please pm me for squares purchases. Thanks.

I will be updating the grid near end , and if somehow not enough participation or I need to cancel, I will refund all. Thanks.

I'd do it, but at the risk of complete public humiliation, I don't know how the grid pools work.

No problem , more explanation if i can:

Let say you choose a square that corresponds to "AFC 3" and "NFC 0"

at the end of first quarter,

score is AFC team 13 , NFC team 7

you look at the ONE's column , in math, that is the first digit on right:

13 and 07

that is AFC 3 and NFC 7

you did not win anything that quarter.

but let say by half time,
the score is:

AFC team 23 , NFC 10

you look at ONE's column again:

23 and 10

that is AFC 3 and NFC 0 -> YOU WIN RATATOUILLE DVD!!!

Do you get it now? or do you need more explanation?
please note, if the digits are reversed like NFC 3 and AFC 0 for the score, you dont win, of course.

Ahem . . . NO, it's skill . . . which is why it's legal to wager on . . . just like poker. ;-)

Shouldn't the numbers be hidden 'til all the squares are sold? That's the way all the boards I've ever played or run are conducted.
