...been lurking/reading/observing for 2 mos...and finally my first post....

I consider myself having a decent ...affordable wardrobe (limited budget due to kids in college
smile.gif

pre SF
-4 pairs of AE, a classic florsheim imperial, a few classic italian ColeH
- a C&J I bought in a sale rack 12 years ago, w/o even knowing the brand
- mostly BB, RL, JCrew, and BR brands, Gant, LLBean

..then I bumped into SF and Holy Smokes...dang!!! ..I've heard of C&J, EG, Alden, Brioni etc and bespoke talk , but never at this level...I decided to change lifestyle/diet last year and lost 50+ lbs..Now I have to re-evaluate my entire wardrobe/style....

The number one thing I've learned here so far, buy and wear clothes that FIT, no matter the affordability/price factor.....

Thanks to all members...Keep posting

Welcome!

Although I think if you had Allen Edmonds before, you probably had better shoes then 98% of Americans...

Don't go on a buying spree yet. Buy slowly to make sure you don't make too many mistakes. Many people on here buy too much stuff at first that they regret buying 6 months later. (I plead guilty)

Oh! and....

^ This.

I plead guilty too, with the difference being that my buying spree ocurred when I first got into "fashion", eg GQ. I have since moved on to SF, and am more attentive and willing to uncover what styles I like and what suits me before spending big bucks.
