I like how they write "some of NYC's best-dressed stopped by". You couldn't really tell by the photos...

Well know I know those two wierdos I saw at an event at The Met are "Andrew Andrew."

Looks more like a typical fashion week party than an opening at a gallery for an "artist" of any "merit".

Those pictures look worse than that Oxxford event party someone posted on AAAC.

For people who work in fashion, I'd expect at least one nice outfit.

Arthur Miller once said that there was an essential "tragic element" to Cartier-Bresson's photographs, and I would say that most good photographs contain something of that element; I don't see that in the Sartorialist's photos though I daresay that many of those subjects would be angry if they were in fact, subjects of some "tragic" context.

I doubt many of them wish to appear grotesque on a voluntary basis.

What a horrid write-up. "The idea for the show began when I landed on The Sartorialist's blog for the first time this past July and was wowed by the quality of his pictures. Here was a highly accomplished photographer with a uniquely personal point of view taking pictures digitally and then posting them on his blog. There was no connection to the art world evident - but I felt that here was the first real fine art photographer of the digital age." I hope the author was drunk when he typed that.
