Those members on Basenotes or the other fragrance forums know that there are swap areas where members can exchange bottles they don't want/aren't using for others that they might like. Given the interest in the fragrance threads here, I thought it might be fun to try here. So, anybody else up for a fragrance swap/interchange? Personally, there are many fragrances that, if I'm not using, I'd like to give them to members here to try as opposed to long-established fragrancistas on other forums. If you have some fragrances that you have and aren't using, perhaps you could mention them here and see if others might want to swap them. We could follow the rules/formats the other sites use. 1) Listing: Tell brand, name, size, how much is left, and whether it comes with retail packaging. EX: Guerlain Vetiver, 75ml (2.5oz), 60% full w/ cap and box. 2) All private information, negotiations, etc. should be done via PM. As well, all members are responsible for their own transactions. No whining to mods or to other members if something doesn't work out. The only exception is that you can post a warning to other members if somebody is a deadbeat. Beyond that, it's up to you how you do the swap. 3) This isn't a "dumping ground." So, don't say, "I've got a 1/3 full bottle of Axe Body spray. Looking to swap for Creed Millesime Imperial." This should be used as a way for members to swap with other members for fragrances of equal value, NOT as a way for you to get rid of crap that nobody else really wants. 4) I've already done this with LOTs of members... especially Thomas. So, I know it works and can be a fun way to get to "know" another member via his or her favorite scents. Let me know what you think! OR, Mods, if this is against the rules, no worries and you can delete/squirrel as you see fit. Abbreviations: EdP: Eau de parfum EdC: Eau de Cologne EdT: Eau de toilette PH: Pour Homme NIB: New in Box

i don't have fragrances to trade, but I'd love to try this as I know very little about this area of fashion.

(I can probably offer up clothing....or conjuring lessons)

I've been narrowing down my collection lately, so I don't have much for swap, but at present I have a few that I could give up for the right offer. On a couple, I'll also put a price in case somebody wants to buy them directly. 1. Escada Sunset Heat for Men: 100ml, 90% full w/ box and cap ($23) -An interesting spring/summer fragrance. Sweet with grapefruit and watermelon and musk. Nice for HOT weather. 2. Ungaro Apparition Pour Homme INTENSE: 50ml; 85% full w/ box and cap ($18) -Fairly safe designer scent. INTENSE version deepens the original to give a subtle, relaxed oriental. Good for daywear/officewear. 3. Anthousa Citrus Sorbet: 50ml; 80% full w/ cap -Excellent dry, powdery citrus. Somewhat like Dior Eau Sauvage, but creamier. 4. Caron Pour un Homme: 125ml; 90% full w/ box and cap -A classic; lavender and a slight "barbershop" edge. Unique, but very old-fashioned. 5. Helmut Lang EdC: 100ml tester, 70% full -One of my favorites. I've got an extra bottle and so will offer one for swap. BUT, I'll be picky for what I swap it. This one is WONDERFUL. 6. Keiko Mecheri Musc EdP: 75ml; 50% full w/ box and cap ($25) Very dry, very subtle musc. Reacts well with body heat and warms up to something very soft and interesting. 7. Lalique PH EdT (the lion-head one): 75ml; 90% full w/ cap A very classy "gentleman's" scent, but unique. If you like Chanel PM, Tiffany for Men, Boucheron, Givenchy, etc... this one will be a hit. 8. Lalique PH EdP: 75ml; 90% full w/ cap Like the above, but the more concentrated eau de parfum version. Much deeper, with longer basenotes and less citrus. 9. Giorgio RED for Men: 50ml; 90% full w/ box and cap A men's powerhouse classic. manly, sexy, subtle, yet deep... this one is really neat. If you like Tom Ford for Men, Cuiron, Belami, etc., then I think you'll like this one, too. Here's my current wardrobe; if you see something you might want to try, drop me a PM. I don't have any decant supplies right now, but I'll see if I can't find something soon: http://www.basenotes.net/wardrobe/3949 WANT: Guerlain Aqua Allegoria (various varieties) Tom Ford (anything but Tom Ford for Men) Montale stuff Guerlain Jicky EdP or Parfum de toilette Cartier Must de Cartier

This would be awesome. I can't really participate b/c I have what would be considered "high school" colognes or mall-brand, or whatever you may want to say. Dayuuum.

A preliminary post just so you know what's on my swap block at the moment.

Grey Flannel - 2 oz, sprayed once. with cap and box. The classic.
Estee Lauder Youth Dew Amber Nude - 1 oz, spare bottle, never sprayed, cap, no box. Warning - opens a bit girly but settles down nicely after a while.
Caron Third Man - 125 ml, around 90%, with cap and box. A recent classic - very light, fizzy gingery scent.
Ungaro III - 3.3 oz tester, no cap no box. A dark rose/earth scent - I equate this one with Dracula.

There are one or two more I'm going to try again before binning them.

I would love to find some Clinique "Tailoring for Men". It has been discontinued for years but remains my all time favorite fragrance. Anyone got any tucked away somewhere?

I've got a pretty much full (maybe 97-98%) bottle of Gucci pour Homme II w/cap that I'm looking to unload. Looking for a bottle of Chanel Allure. Don't have the original box or anything, but it does come with a matching deodorant stick that I only used for a couple weeks if you like.
