SF: Decide the fate of this shirt

OK SF-ers, I need some help. I am going to subject myself to the mercy of SF groupthink and follow the herd.

I just bought the white shirt pictured below and I'm now having second thoughts. All is fine but something seems "off" about the fabric. At first, I liked the textured stripes in the fabric, but now something seems off and I can't put my finger on it. Maybe it seems too "blousey". Your thoughts?

As far as shirts go, I think this one is definitely not the worst out there. I would keep it. More importantly, how does it fit?

The fabric doesn't look too bad but it does look a bit translucent.

How's the fit?

I'd only wear it with a suit - but I think it's pretty nice in that context (assuming the fit works for you.)

fit is pretty good - very trim unlike most of the tents I wear. I had some trouble getting shirt to appear after my cuffs on a suit but that is more of a function of the jacket I had on.

The only issue is the collar is a bit too tight. Unless I wear a tie, I never button my collars. (Even with ties I sometimes leave collars undone

I'd probably wear a white crewneck undershirt with this shirt...

I think it's an okay shirt the fabric is not bad but not something to see too often these days. It kind of reminds me of a few textured shirts I had back in the late 80' early 90's. I would not consider it blousy though.

Just tested again in high light - it is more translucent than normal, but then again most white shirts are pretty translucent. (I usually wear blues)

It looks fine w/ an undershirt even in pretty heavy light, i.e., the undershirt doesn't show up abnormally visible

Agree, looks fine. Probably best with a suit.

It looks fine.
I wouldn't mind wearing that fabric in warmer temperatures. If you're worried about it being a bit transluscent, wear a light/med grey v-neck undershirt.

Looks like per SF groupthink, I will happily keep! Maybe the first wear will be with a suit too!

What is his rationale for this? Would he consider herringbone a textured fabric?

Oh... Well I just assumed the collar was like that, thus thinking it would be great.
