I am not fond of the interior, though I think it "works" for your aesthetic purposes. It's a nice house any way you cut it.

I'm not going to lie, I often peruse this thread for ideas to steal and use in my own home.

I've got just a few more purchases to make and I'll be ready to proudly share my digs on here.

my house is wild. It was built in 1987, and looks like it. Everything is like a Brentwood Condo, however it is huge, 8000 sq.ft, 5 floors, however, you come in on the top floor, which is where the kitchen is, all the way down is my indoor pool which, using the 80's water heater comes out to $3000 a month to heat, so I have only had it heated for about 5 months in the last 5 years. I'd replace the heater, however, I would need 6 heaters, one per floor because the house gets very cold without each floor having a separate heating unit. I both love and hate this house because it is so nice, but the guy who built it could have done so much better.

You sound like a good candidate for a geo system.

I don't use regular DVD players, basically I have a HTPC in every room and in my basement i've got a 19" rack where I have 8tb of storage. Basically all my DVD's , music and photo's are stored on there. So if you want to watch a movie in the living room, someone else could watch pictures in their room or listening to music on the terrace. So far it has worked very well.

    must see pics!

Here's a couple of our place...

It is a 7-unit condo in an urban setting, an infill development on a spot that previously contained 13 parking spots....

    Inside...looking toward living space

Looking back towards kitchen and loft (bedroom off to upper left)

And our outside deck space off bedroom (solar lights, astro-turf for that 'grass-downtown' feeling)

This has sort of an 80s Manhattan feel that I think you've done very well (whatever you'd call it). Right now I feel like something traditional for myself, but I think you've done a wonderful job and it's a great space. Would love to see photos any time.

I agree, the metal spiral staircase especially has that feel. Regardless, this is a really impressive house. Looks great.

Neither are nearly this big but you get the idea.

There is a quiet bridge by the Chattahoochee River that I park under at night.
