SF Cheap Functional Buttonholes

Anyone know of a good, cheap place to get functional buttonholes put on a jacket in SF? Everywhere I've looked has been at least $8/hole. I think I've been spoiled by Jonathan's Embroidery in NYC ($1-$2/hole). Any help would be much appreciated.

Just out of curiousity, why would you want cheap functional button holes? In my experience, especially with things like button holes, you get what you pay for. Working button holes for $8 a piece will look like they cost $1-2 more often than not...

Not looking to debate the merits of a $12 buttonhole vs. an $8 buttonhole vs. a $2 butthonhole. I agree there is a difference, but I've got a couple of relatively inexpensive jackets that do not warrant $12 buttonholes. In this particularly case, the cheaper, the better.

I wasnt trying to debate or pass judgment, I was just curious why you wouldnt leave them non-working.

Fair enough...The cuffs are unfinished, otherwise it would be a non-issue.

if you hung around Jonathan long enough, you would be amazed at how many "Bespoke" tailors
have them made there.

you cant just walk in there with a jacket to have buttonholes made.
a tailor has to make sure the sleeves are set up properly.
they will not do that.

the buttonhole looks like any decent machine made buttonhole.
perfectly fine.
no one will know the difference.

Quietly trying to not look guilty. I notice button holes, especially on the lapel, but through the course of a conversation, sure, I usually do observe the button holes on the sleeve. I personally think its very tasteful to have nice buttonholes, and then all 4 buttons buttoned. That is the height of elegance.

I notice all sorts of details on garments.
and lapel buttonholes do stand out if done well.
