Stopping in SF for a couple of days prior to Seattle and Tacoma.

Looking for somewhere nice to eat and drink, mid to high range acceptable.

Good food. Don't mind the cuisine to be honest.

Go to the North Beach/Little Italy area. Perhaps the country's only Little Italy where there are people who actually speak Italian more than English. Anyway, people tend to love the bars and restaurants around there, and the nighborhoods look pretty, too, so visitors tend to love it. (Just avoid heading west into Chinatown unless you prefer to get food poisoning.)
