1. And... we're back. You'll notice that all of your images are back as well, as are our beloved emoticons, including the infamous :foo: We have also worked with our server folks and developers to fix the issues that were slowing down the site.

There is still work to be done - the images in existing sigs are not yet linked, for example, and we are working on a way to get the images to load faster - which will improve the performance of the site, especially on the pages with a ton of images, and we will continue to work diligently on that and keep you updated.

    Cheers,

While the site was down, I spent a little of the time putting this together. I figured it would help people get up to speed more quickly. Please feel free to add your own and/or make corrections/suggestions. Clothing specific terms as well as general Internet lingo abbrevs are welcome, though we might want to divide them up at some point if we get lots of general terms. We can also add this into the Wiki with links on each term at some point.

WB = Welcome back - more of a net chat thing than a forum thing usually.

    Very nice work, J.

If I could just make a small correction :
It is "Comme des Garçons", is it not?

I would also add HH for Harvie & Hudson.

Okay, who did you piss off?

    BIFF Brown is for farmer
ILITL I like it the lamb

ITITL would be fine, but brown is for farmer is so meaningful, so impactful, so important, that it would only be respectful to write it out in its entirety. Of course, when typing it, one should hold his right hand over his heart.
