Does anybody have a sense for whether Sergio Rossi shoes (I'm looking at the boots on Gilt) run large? If the UK 5 isn't true to size I'll be out of luck. Thanks!

Thanks for responding! I went ahead and made the purchase because I was afraid of losing my place in line. I later found some ebay listings that show UK sizing on Sergio as 1-1.5 sizes smaller than the US equivalent (e.g., UK 8 would be US 9-9.5), which leads me to believe the shoes are narrowish but with a slightly longer sole. Hopefully that's not the case!

I'll post here again with the verdict when I get them, for the benefit of anyone searching with the same question...

^^Just for future reference, and you may already know this, but I generally find UK sizing to be one full size smaller than the equivalent US size in a medium width. The only exception I found was on the EG 888 last in which Purple Labels shoes are marked, for example, 9.5UK/10US, with the marked US size being the proper indicator.

Others find that generally for them UK sizing is only 1/2 smaller than their equivalent US size. The only shoes I heard being over 1 full size are Kitons and Paul Smith, but I dont' own either.

I tend to find UK sizing to be one size smaller as well. EU to US is a little trickier... And EU to UK to US? Who knows...

I should have posted this question in the gilt thread but I didn't realize it was there. Maybe the gilt folks will answer my sad little pm nevertheless.

Update. Got the boots today. They're a good inch and a half too long for me. I'd say more a US 6.5 or 7 (UK 5.5-6) than the advertised US 6/UK 5. Guess I'll be selling these...

Rossi shoes run large on my feet. Very similar to Gucci (probably because Rossi makes Gucci). Im usually a 7 but have to buy a 6 or 6 1/2 at Rossi.
