In our opinion, every man should own a leather jacket, one that compliments his style. Over the years, we at Sartoriale found a Parisian brand, Seraphin, worthy always of the highest accolades. We love the subtle design and the luxurious appeal of their pieces. They use some of the softest and lightest leathers known to men, always in rich, masculine hues. Here are some pictures to start the flow, let's see and discuss our favorite Seraphin pieces in this thread.

Mine has been put away until the fall. It is a great jacket. Isn’t Seraphin partially (wholly) owned by Hermès and make their leather jackets?

Don't know much about the brand and their offerings, but I always very much liked this (minus the zips at side pockets):

Pics are from Permanent Style, of course. At 2500 pounds, however, it was simply too much.

They do indeed make all Hermès leather jackets, but I think they're independently owned.

It was certainly the case a few years ago. We are searching for updated information about it. In the meantime also worth to mention this article by Simon Crompton about his factory visit. Those hides and the machete :)

As we have learned in the meantime, the company was acquired by Hermés. They do maintain their own production, but more and more on an MTO basis. We hope Seraphin will live on, as its a really special brand.

and a question for the experts. Some time ago I picked up this beautiful, thick and buttery soft lined Sulka coat made in France. I assumed it was made by Seraphin but maybe someone can confirm?

I appreciate any information although I am happy with Sulka!

That reindeer suede is just beautiful. It must be very pleasant on the skin and comfortable because of the natural stretch it has.

Suede shirt jackets are just so easy to wear and stylish.

I also like this one in goat suede:

Last year i also bought 1 leather jacket from SERAPHIN, and early this year from ALFREDO RIFUGIO
I must say, i like the AR more...but they both are in the same league...it depends if you want France or Italy
I think in leather Seraphin has the notch, but for suede Alfredo Rifugio is on top

Has anyone ordered the MTO blouson from Sartoria Corcos? If so, what do you think about it?

Excuse the thread revival, but does anyone know where to buy Seraphin jackets? I'm a size M and am in the US, I can't seem to find them anywhere. When I contacted them to order, I was told that jackets can only be ordered in person. Is that really the case? The exclusivity is creating lust haha.

TIA

I actually just saw them in Paris, as they originally directed me to go to a store but when I told them I was visiting from the US, they said they could see me in their showroom. They said they have one store in LA whose name I am forgetting (I vaguely remember seeing they had a web presence when I googled for Seraphin a while ago) but otherwise most of their product is sold in Europe, the Middle East and Asia. I think Kirby Allison / Hanger Project carried them at one point as well. If you like the blouson model that Sartoria Corcos offers, that's available during his NY trunk shows, and the semi-circular stitching around the pockets is something that can be changed if you don't like it
