As a few members have recently been trying out this newer brand of shoes I thought it was time to create a thread specifically to show and discuss the brand.

To start, here's a link to a disection of the shoe, which tells you a lot about the construction/quality http://depiedencap.eu/spip.php?article147 You can use google or bing translate if you don't read french.

I'll try to keep some sizing information on this header post as well if you forward it to me via pm. It should be pretty simple as they only do a limited number of lasts.

    And here's the first pics.

Unfortunately mine don't feature this kind of waist, as it is only offered on the early models, such as yours...

How does the 199 last run?
Also, there doesn't seem to be a U.S. option when selecting the country for the billing/shipping address??

The 199 last runs true to size for my slightly narrow foot. I took a UK 7E and it is just a bit looser than G&G TG73 in size 7E which runs a smidge small. I can size down to a UK6.5 in C&J 348 and since C&J tends to run a bit largish I'm going with Septieme as 'true to size' for now.

Use Estats-Unis (French for United States).

Could you please post a photo of the soles of your shoes? I would like to see the waist. Thank you!

    Yep :

The waist is dirty bevelled and very slightly cambered, but not nailed and fiddle-back as on Gdot's ones.

Thank you for posting the requested pictures!

Unfortunately the current soles look less exciting than the soles of the old models ... Do they have any models with the nailed, fiddle-back sole?

I visited their Paris store a little while ago. Excuse crappy iPhone pics.

They were just unpacking a shipment of new shoes, made in Spain, apparently. I forgot the exact name, was something like Almeria Industria. I bought myself a pair of monks:

I heard that their leather creases up quickly and leave pretty deep creases. Can someone comment on this?

I like that green. How early, in years, are we talking?
