1. And... we're back. You'll notice that all of your images are back as well, as are our beloved emoticons, including the infamous :foo: We have also worked with our server folks and developers to fix the issues that were slowing down the site.

There is still work to be done - the images in existing sigs are not yet linked, for example, and we are working on a way to get the images to load faster - which will improve the performance of the site, especially on the pages with a ton of images, and we will continue to work diligently on that and keep you updated.

About eight years ago, my wife bought a pair of Gucci motorcycle boots. There was nothing especially elaborate about them--just a few pieces of leather, a nice buckle, and solidly made, but no detailed stitching or fancy metalwork or whatever. But they fit perfectly, she's loved them since the first day, and since they're not made any more she's lived in dread of wearing them out.

And since she's been wearing them probably 3-4 days a week for eight years, they're reaching the end of their life, despite my insistence that she regularly apply cream, get them resoled, etc.

Are there any places where one could find old stock of these boots? She'd even be willing to get a bespoke pair made, but it's not likely that boots like these would be the sort of thing Cleverley would do very well.
