This is actually my first post but I signed up over a year ago. I did a search before posting but didn’t see what I was looking for so hoping some of you will offer suggestions.
I am attending a semi formal wedding at 5 PM indoors in South Carolina in September. I’m looking at wearing one of three suits and a couple of pairs of lace up cap toes. First suit is a fairly light blue which I think looks good with a pair of brown Allen Edmonds and coordinating belt that I have. Second suit is light gray that I would wear with either brown or black cap-toes. Third option is a darker navy suit which could go with brown or black shoes. I’ll go with the standard white shirt and probably a moderately conservative tie.
i’m leaning toward the darker navy suit but not sure about the shoes. I like the contrast with the brown shoes and belt but the black shoes would be more conservative I believe.
I realize there’s not really a wrong answer here but an I’d like to get some feedback and see which way you guys would go. It’s been ages since I’ve been to a wedding and I’m just hoping to fit in with mostly conservative crowd while still looking somewhat dapper.
Thanks!
