i dont think he wants that. if he did he could just find someone who knows how to sow and let them use stock patterns. making jeans is not that hard once you've got the patterns. pretty sure he basically wants bespoke/mtm jeans. edit: yes that is actually what he called his last thread http://www.styleforum.net/showthread.php?t=230230 "mtm or bespoke jeans"

Yes! thats exactly what I want. I know where APC is in new york, I knew where to find nudies and even levis selvedge. I want someone to cut me a pair of jeans. I have a pair of pants I love that are made by levis. I want to bring selvedge into a place and have jeans made from that pattern. Can anybody help??

yo like i said garment district got places where u can get patterns cut. if you have an existing pair they can just rip those joints apart and make the pattern from that. i don't know any specific names/places but this is standard stuff that goes down over there on a daily basis. i did the bare minimum of research and found a blog post from user mizanation: http://ryanmizuno.com/blog/?p=85 this guy makes custom jeans (in japan). got his own fabrics but i bet he would do CMT. here is a sufu post from mizanation about the guy. http://www.superfuture.com/supertalk....php?p=2569915

Do you have any idea how much this might cost me?

And lets say I want a new pattern made up?

Any estimates would be very, very helpful.

PUt it this way, don't let anyone rip you off with the fabric pricing. Despite what some jeans designers might charge, selvedge denim is NOT an expensive fabric. http://www.alibaba.com/product-gs/42...im_fabric.html ...usually around $1-$4 USD a yard wholesale.

he already has the fabric. i did some more reading and apparently the stronghold in LA offers MTM jeans in their own fabrics. maybe you should check if they cut patterns or do CMT. here is a blog post on a continuous lean where i got the info: http://www.acontinuouslean.com/2008/...he-stronghold/

A neighborhood tailor might well be the most suitable person to do the job. However, be aware that your locally-made jeans will look different from the factory made ones, principally because they use different hardware. Much of the sewing on factory jeans is done with a chainstitch machine - these sew differently, with different tensions, and the end result looks different.

If it were me, and I had fabric I was happy with, I'd go to Double Volante. Look at their thread over on Superfuture for more information.
