yeah i didn't understand the meaning of the SF. didnt know if its for sufu or sf or both or neither.

i also like the SF better than the drybones levis tag that came with the last collab and the military rep bar.

I dont suppose the red SF embroidery can be taken off? The jean looks cool, dont even mind the 2 patches since a belt would cover both, but that red SF really throws me off and is an instant dealbreaker for me

FWIW, I like the stitching, but I've actually taken a stitch ripper to pocket embroidery, to no ill effect. At 22 ounces presoak, I can't imagine that it will even be perceivable that you did it, once you "iron out" (not actually using an iron) the stitch holes.

I think the whole collaborative branding thing is over done in the marketplace. It is becoming meaningless.

i think people are overstressing this collab thing. its really just SE x DB. sufu and sf merely made patches that are removeable.

this is a pair of DB's with kiya/se specification design (i assume). the fact that its a collab or not shouldnt take away from a great pair of denim. if you dont like it, give a substantive reason like the fit or the too dark color and move on. but attacking the product cuz it had several influences and work put into it is MEANINGLESS.

I disagree. For one, these "collaborations" have been going on forever, it's just that now people have caught on to the fact that co-branding is lucrative. For a designer or retailer, it gives credibility to the product that they clearly do not manufacture themselves, and the manufacturers get increased exposure to their brand. Gitman and Martin Greenfield, for example, have been doing private label work forever. However, all of their custom makes, now, have that extra catchet. I wonder how many people, before, say, 2007, when Freeman's Sporting Club boasted of using his manufacture, knew about Martin Greenfield at all

These definitely look nice. Only problem I have is that it's slim fit. I got tree trunks for legs. I'll see if I can go to the store and try them on and take it from there. If I get them, they'll be my first pair of super heavy denim.

I like this collaboration topic from a purely marketing perspective and will start a separate thread. The jeans themselves are awesome and I don't want to take away from a quality product.

We've had a couple of guys with the same issue, they sized up one from their true size after shrinkage and they've worked out great. One came in today after they dried to get them hemmed and they looked like a straight leg fit on him.

Anyone know if there'll be a SF/Sufu/SF vs. Sufu contest? Was about to drop some heavy $$$ on some heavy denim (Iron Hearts) until I saw these.

this is a xpost from the collab jean thread on sufu but he sized up one from TTS and it looks great. so if you have even larger legs you could potentially size up 2 and hot soak or size up 1 and cold soak
