Can anybody speak to how “fussy” (for lack of a better word) the henleys are from MBS, Pure Blue, Stevenson, Studio D’Artisan? Can they stand up to (reasonably) hard wear/low spin washes/low dry cycles without getting completely wrecked?
They’d primarily be used for gym wear, and there’s zero chance I line dry T-shirts, but they also look flipping awesome, so I’m at a bit of a crossroads.
Any thoughts?
I can only speak for MBS stuff, but I think their stuff is pretty delicate. At least that's what my experience has been. I get the best results with minimal shrinkage (t-shirts, henleys, and sweatshirts) with a warm wash and air dry.

I think they can take wash regimen but I'm not sure if they're the best choice for gym, if by extension you mean work out in them! Some of them are too beefy and they they'll constrain you!
Not terribly worried about that, for the most part. I layer (one because I'm just weird, and two because I want to be as warm as possible to start), so they'd come off eventually. And I also hate "activewear," for better or worse.
Why would you wear one of those to the gym
Want?

Hmmm, appreciate the input. Will pop in to SE one of the days coming up and pick their brains. Do need to (finally) pick up a new pair of jeans sooner rather than later.

I think mbs stuff holds pretty well, I remember @kiya's post about wearing mbs merino wool tee straight for a year and it held up well and merino might work better in gym as well.

I find Merz B's basics to be fairly indestructible, case in point..

Mister Freedom Dude Rancher Shirts & Strike Gold's Amazing Belts

Mister Freedom hits us this week with a new Dude Rancher shirt. This new version is made of a Japanese milled indigo covert check fabric complete with 1950’s style painted metal snaps (which will chip with age) and 100% cotton high-stitch count construction. We had our shirts lightly rinsed for our stores to make sizing easier.

Strike Gold used to make the most intense and over the top belts we carried at our stores but stopped making them over a year ago. We’ve asked them to do a new run of belts for us and they’re also now available up to size 38. Each belt is made from a single piece of full-grain cowhide that’s been piece-dyed by hand post being cut and shaped. The leather is unreal on these belts and due to the quality of the leather needs no conditioning for many years due to its natural oils and its tight grain which resists moisture very well.

You can find these belts in black and tan at all stores now from sizes 32 to 38.

The Fine Creek Leathers Leon Custom 2mm Horsehide Jacket

Fine Creek Leathers’ Leon Custom jacket is back, available now in a 2mm horsehide. These things age like nothing else and are sewn with massive attention to detail. They can achieve this because they’re (from what we know) one of the only small leather jacket brands in Japan making their jackets in-house in their own sewing studio. Yoshi Yamazaki, the creative director, is a detail freak and it shows once you start seeing how the leather ages and how the seams pucker over time with regular wear.

These are available now at our four US stores and online.
