There is still work to be done - the images in existing sigs are not yet linked, for example, and we are working on a way to get the images to load faster - which will improve the performance of the site, especially on the pages with a ton of images, and we will continue to work diligently on that and keep you updated.

get banned. If you don't appreciate the discount, no one's forcing you to take it.

This promotion is pretty damn generous, but I guess you feel you're not getting what you're owed after going through the trouble of registering on a free forum and making 8 posts [IMG]

agree with ott here. selfedge/kiya doesn't have to offer any discount to anyone but were kind enough to offer a discount to the members of styleforum....if you don't like it don't buy it. Why you would complain about a good thing is beyond me.

    And your point is????

    1. Discount is shitty compared to Denim Bars 20% off of ANYTHING in the store, not to mention revolveclothing 30% (even if you cant order nudies)

    2. I posted about my b-day and frats in appropriate threads.

    3. self explanatory

sorry I hurt your feelings, had to say it.

    1. Care to show me where you can get flathead, ironheart, imperial, etc on Revolve? Denimbar is fantastic, no doubt, but who are you to demand 20% off everything? Your false sense of entitlement is amazing. 2. Congrats. 3. Wait- what's self explanatory? [IMG] You're being completely disrespectful. Just stop posting. Please.

Um, okay, so here's the deal. Some of our affiliates offer discounts. Some offer special promotions. Some sponsor contests or whatnot. We work things out with each affiliate depending on what the affiliate is comfortable with and works for the particular type of store. The affiliates are not obliged to do any type of promotion, but they are usually happy to be a part of the community and give us a bit of a break on stuff.

Not too many other forums have this type of relationship with the retailers they deal with. Certainly, no one should feel entitled to a special discount.

Re. the Flathead shirts in particular. I specifically asked for this item to be the March promotion. It is a very popular item, and kiya was cool enough to oblige us when he really didn't have to.

Mudger, you are entitled to your opinion, but please don't muddy up this thread any longer. Not cool at all. Thanks.

Next up: 20% Is the discount high enough? [IMG]

I was totally gonna buy something from Self Edge, but their discount isn't high enough, and they wouldn't pay for my plane ticket to San Francisco to try on the jeans I was thinking of, plus I heard that they sacrifice vagrants they find in the Tenderloin in order to appease the denim gods. We should boycott or something.

Yea, i think it's great that they're putting on sale 2 of their most popular items. I just wish the flathead shirts were a inch or 2 longer. Can't wait till the online store is completely stocked, just so i can browse and contemplate throwing my money away like i do while looking at BiG.

Sorry to veer off topic, but it would be incredible if we could work something out with BiG. Self Edge is amazing, though! The discounts have always been on very popular items as well. Sugar Cane, the Flat Head yelloow line 10th anniversery edition and now the shirts? Wow.

echoing tljenkin, self edge is and has been fantastic. those FH houndstooth shirts will definitely not disappoint, and kiya went above and beyond to help me out in any way he could. my order was sent out within less than 12 hours.

Last day to pick up the 5100's at a discounted price, and one day away from the flathead houndstooth shirts guys. Just a reminder.

The denim looks phenomenal, but I'm not feeling the trouser cut...[IMG]

Psyched for some of the slimmer cuts tho - 3001 and 4001, I think?

The 5100 is a slim cut. For anyone sitting on the fence--the 5100s are easily my favorite pair of Japanese denim so far. Ayn's photos and ringring's endorsement on the other sf convinced me to give them a try. They're slim in the seat and thigh, with no knee taper to speak of. I also found the inseam to be more than accomodating after a hot wash, and I'm 6'5. Probably 35" at the moment. --and no need to size down!

I had to order from 2nd in Japan because SE was out of my size, but they were a big help when I called! I guess I got the tab and archuate for my trouble, at least.

The words "trouser cut", the SE picture, and the 10" leg opening (!) threw me. Also, on second thought, I'm a 34 waist, and based on the description I might not have enough inseam to work with (I take it you wear a larger waist). I don't know why I keep overlooking this...I should just be a Somet/Samurai man and be done with it...

Gah people are such jerks, Personally i think the discounts and products available are brilliant and anyone who doesn't should feel free to STFU. Kiya is selling these things at pretty much Japanese retail then is giving a discount ontop just because you typed something into google Now I just need to figure out what size of shirt i need...
