Papa Nui Summer Cap Collection
The summer collection of Papa Nui caps just landed, a brand dedicated to producing some of the finest caps that will ever grace your skull.

The caps are made in Japan with Japanese Fabrics and trim. All the caps have extremely detailed stories behind the fit, function, fabrics, and back-story of the particular design. Please check the product page for each cap for a rundown of what each cap is about. It's a lot of information for a single cap, but we specialize in being long-winded so it's to be expected.

All Papa Nui caps are available now online and at all five Self Edge stores.

Gaah why can't Papa Nui just add adjustable straps instead of being fitted? Would their customer base really care?

I see what you're saying, but i feel that those caps would look a bit strange if you added an adjustable strap at the back.

If papa nui had adjustable straps, I'd never buy another one! I have 5 now and what makes them awesome is that each one oooozes with style - and it fits like a glove. You can easily stretch or shrink a half size either way already. How hard is it to measure your head? (Snicker)

The Iron Heart Overdyed Modified Type III Jacket, 11oz Super Heavy T-Shirts, & Short Sleeve Denim Shirt
We have the long awaited new "All-Season" Iron Heart Overdyed Denim Jacket, releasing this Saturday. This version comes in a modified length, hand pockets added for functionality, and made of a 14.5oz base denim which now weighs almost 16oz after the overdye process.

Along with the new Iron Heart overdyed jacket we have the heaviest t-shirts we've ever seen from any brand. These are made of a custom 11oz fabric which is soft to the touch and has a weave pattern which is visible due to the heft of the yarns used. These are available in black or white and the only external branding is a small red "W" woven by the hem-line of the t-shirt.

We've also received a new short sleeve denim shirt, perfect for when you still need your denim fix during the warmer months of the year.

The tees and denim shirt are available now, the denim jacket is being released at all of our stores on Saturday, June 17th and in our online store at 9am (PST) the same day.

Sugar Cane's Type II Okinawa Denim Jacket & Jean Restocks
Sugar Cane's Type II denim jacket is one of the best versions of this style jacket you can find. We've had them take their traditional Type II and do a small run in their 50/50 cotton/sugarcane fiber "Okinawa" denim. These come unsanforized and unwashed, so with a light soak these will age better than most denim jackets which have either been sanforized or factory rinsed. These Okinawa denim jackets are available now in small numbers at all of our stores.

Along with the new Okinawa Type II jacket we've received a full restock of all of Sugar Cane's indigo and black jeans.

Flat Head x Real Japan Blues Left Hand Twill Jeans & Stamina Slurp Shirts

The new Flat Head x Real Japan Blues have just landed. These are made of an original 14oz left hand twill denim and come in a straight tapered fit. These have the most impressive front pocket opening stitching we’ve ever seen, two runs of double-needle stitching timed just right so the needle hits the same spot every time it goes into the denim. We had this run specially made for us with a mellow back pocket, the regular run made for other stores have a leather inlay in the back pocket stitching design.

We've also received Flat Head's newest fabric developed for shirts. The Stamina Slurp fabrics are a medium weight (10oz) woven shirting fabric with massive character done in shades of red and blue, both which pop when seen in person. These are done up in a new short sleeve shirt pattern with a very cool new collar design.

Along with these new items we've received a fresh restock of the SE05BSP slim tapered jean.

At those new jeans cut similar to the 3009? The denim and shirts look great.

I'd say they're like the 3009 except slightly slimmed down. They're definitely not a super slim fit, they're closer to a straight tapered jean if anything.
Thanks!

Any plan for a 40-BSP in a different fabric?

There are currently no plans to make that jean out of any other fabric. We spent over a year going back and forth with the mill to perfect that denim, it came out quite nice. You should check it out in person in possible.

Yup, regular IH type III: http://www.selfedge.com/index.php?route=product/product&product_id=271&search=type+iii&description=1

Oh, I have a pair. Favorite cut of any jean I've ever worn, along with some of my favorite denim. Super hairy, great texture, and wears pretty cool despite the weight. I'd pick up another pair in any other fabric they were made in.
