so i bought a seiko black monster about six weeks ago and i love it. only problem is that i'm now wanting more watches.

i was thinking of getting a traditional diver style watch like the seiko SKX007. does anyone know a good source for this watch?

My dad's had a Seiko diver for 25 years and still loves it.

Personally, I still favor saving the extra cash for a genuine Rolex and making that your lifetime watch for all occasions.

Why not purchase the Seiko Marine Master REF:SBDD001? If you want a quality dive watch for relatively inexpensive price, look into MKII, Stowa, Ocean7 etc. If you want to have a watch that is an heirloom that is a different topic!

How about considering the SBCM023 as well? Same classic style as the SKX007 in a smaller case with a nice Oyster bracelet - and the stellar 8F35 high-frequency quartz movment with perpetual calendar. Mine was last set on the 29th of august and is still dead-on against the atomic-synched clock.

I looked into several diver's watches (including the MarineMaster) across a wide price range, but in the end I liked this inexpensive Seiko SKX031. It came with an oyster bracelet, but I like the Bond strap, which adds to the "blackness" of the watch.

does it matter if its a made in japan model?

i found a site that is a certified seiko dealer that includes a 3 year warranty but the watches aren't japanese models.

another site offers a great variety of japanese models but only a 1 year warranty.

which would be best?
