ginlimetonic-Thank you for the shoe advice.

voxsartoria-I will probably just buy off the rack (Nordstrom & JosA.Bank are down the street). When you say to avoid dark colors does that include Navy? I know some other posters strongly recommended Navy for it being formal and color looking good with the outdoor terrain. If Navy is too dark, what other colors would be acceptable as light? (I'm thinking a very light grey?)

I agree with you on the dry heat. 100+ is 100+ no matter how you look at it. It might not have exactly the same effects as a humid 100 but it is in no way cooler!

That's brilliant. I wish I had thought of that for my own wedding.

Also true. We had our ceremony and reception in the same place, so there would have been little to no time. Every spare moment was spent having pictures taken.

Well we will have a couple minute drive between the ceremony and dinner. I could pull off "the switch" during the ride. I fear picture time will be the most taxing part of the day because we will be on the side of a mountain under direct sunglight, no shade. Posing for numerous photographs+unblocked sun could = saturated me.

Light gray might show wrinkles too easily. Mid-gray is safer. If you can find a suit that is, say, 60/40 linen/wool, that might be comfortable enough and not wrinkle much. A linen suit with a linen shirt would be a bit much. Also, on the latter, Brooks Brothers is one of the few sources with a cotton/linen ready-to-wear dress shirt, not cheap. A lightweight cotton shirt with a silk-weight undershirt probably is easiest to do.
