Well if you wear it during the day and keep it on to another event at night, I don't see why you are compelled to change. But whether one should do it as a decision when getting dressed for an evening event, I don't know. I'm not cool enough to pull of a seersucker suit. I'd look like, well, a sucker.

In a hot environment (Texas I assume?) I think it's fine to keep your seersucker jacket on, I think it would be geographically appropriate. Besides, it's kind of silly to change in and out of clothes because of the time of day.

I wear seersucker day and night. I can't imagine there being a rule against it.

Have done this at the height of summer, when the days are really long and dinner starts while it's still light. It's fine, I think.

Seeksucker is ostensibly a weather fabric. So if it's hot enough feel free to wear it. On a warm summer night in Charleston, SC, you'll see seersucker everywhere.

I also wear a dark seersucker shirt (check not lines) in the summer.

Well, I wore it last night and the sky didn't fall. I did, however, get a lot of attention from teh gheys which made me uncomfortable.

As did I this week in South Carolina. The sky didn't fall there either, although there was some thunder and the sky opened up a bit.
