it is a 150s that is why

I snagged a like-new navy pinstripe Corneliani in 150s along with a NWT brown Corneliani for $180 (for both). The price the seller is asking is absurd, in eBay terms.

Yea, I've seen some wares from this store that I've liked.. (EG shoes, Santoni Fatte a Mano) and they are ALL overpriced. At least a $100 markup from where he probably purchased them (RLPL sale, Yoox)... not sure he'll ever get my business unless they sell something I just HAVE to have.

The price may be a tad high by ebay terms for this seller but I've found his service impeccable and the quality of the goods are first rate. You won't be second guessing whether something is really new, etc.

Having said that, because his prices are on the high side by ebay terms I agree for his goods it's best to wait until you see a "gotta have it."

It looks like it may be the model I tried on in Barney's last fall. If so, the button stance is bizarrely high, two to three inches above the natural waist. Canvassed.

IMHO...to compare it to this recent EBay purchase of mine makes the price laughable. I got twice the suit for half the price.

Yes, used, and a 180* different style from the Armani. Which is why I'm so amused at the uproar over Armani's comments--they were meant to appeal to his customer base, not the usual SR customer. Yet to see how insulted people get, most of whom have never bought bespoke, including from SR, is hilarious.

Just to clarify, the Oxxford suit that I bought, like the Armani, was also new with tags. Plus it was a 2006 Radcliffe model as well. They currently sell at Bergdorf's for $3200.

I do agree that they appeal to entirely different buyers, though.

OK, my fault, must have misread the auction. Don't get me wrong either, that's a great suit, and NWT a really great deal.

    Ditto...

It's in my size too. I hate you.

At least your feet are smaller than mine.

Wow G...love the one you scored too! It seems to me that Oxxford is considerably undervalued on EBay in relation to Kiton, Isaia and Brioni. And now that Oxxford is offering more fitted models ala Radcliffe with side vents etc., it's just too damn good to believe.

ap and gdl: Those are great suits! And at great prices.

I also agree re: the button stance on the Armani. Too high.

    sharp purchase, ap and gdl.

yup, oxxford appears to be seriously undervalued.

i pulled the trigger on a nwt oxxford (solid navy, super 100's, to replace my 4 year old fusejobs) from as emanuelclassycloset well - just waiting for it to arrive and then its off to field english.
