I'm about to buy some OCBD shirts. Any suggestions for locating extra heavy oxford cloth button downs, RTW? A medium/trim cut would be best but not skinny.

They are pretty good. But shirt makers used to offer "extra beefy oxford cloth" and I can't seem to find it.

J. Press. Moderately slim cut, and the cloth seems to have a tad more heft than the Brooks equivalent.

Band of Outsiders is the heaviest I've ever seen.

I would contact Gitman and see if they have anything like that. They make Thom Browne/Black Fleece and maybe Band of Outsiders too.

Great idea. They used to make very good shirts for Nordstrom in the late 80's I never see them around anymore. I will go on-line.

Gitman makes a slimmer "vintage" cut of OCBD's that they supposedly sell at Bloomingdale's and Nordstrom's--I have only seen them online from Roden Grey in Canada.

I just got a couple Lands End Button Downs, and they are pretty heavy. Definately more so than Brooks.
