I have passed on my first tux to my brother and am now in need of a replacement. I fully understand the investment and am in need of suggestions. I have read about and looked at the ebay sellers and read my way through many threads here and on other sites. I need to keep it comfortably under $1K and would hope to be closer to $500. I have looked into options like TM Lewin, JCrew, and M. Valentino...
I am 6'4" (32x34) 170lbs and normally wear 40L. I will stay with traditional touches, peak, one button, no vents, flat front, etc, however with my frame it really helps to start with a slim silhouette, or the second options is have my tailor slice and dice pretty aggressively. RLBL was made for my frame and Banana Tailored Slim is right on the money for reference (opposite side of the scale they may be).
It will used for the most part as wedding attire (a few times a year) as I am 30 and the lady is 26...we are in the South so there are formal weddings a plenty.
Cheers!
