Hey!

I just found a second hand Dormeuil jacket/blazer for around 65$ In a second hand shop. It is a made to measure jacket and the fabric is a silk and cashmere blend. The light window pane pattern and dark brown colour suggests that the jacket is a part of a suit.

The question is whether it could be used as a blazer, and what it would pair well with. What do you guys think?

Dormeuil cloth is of great quality and for 65USD the quality would certainly be worth it.

I would say the texture makes it wearable on its own, perhaps with trousers in grey or blue.

The main question is fit. From the pictures it's difficult to tell how it fits. It would be easier to assess this if you could post a picture with the jacket buttoned.

Agree with above in general. Depending on age Dormeuil has gone up and down in quality and popularity. I would say it is not as well regarded these days as it was in the 80's, but somewhat subjective.

Hard to judge fit w/ these pictures. It looks large and possibly like the button point is too low for you. But would be better able to judge if the jacket were buttoned and if you were wearing a tucked in shirt to judge rise.

Thanks for your reply! I went back to try it a second time, and I found out that it its slightly big in the shoulders. I have to wear a sweater underneath for a great fit. Could be worn without aswell, but then one can see that it islightly large.
