I just got an email from Scott today - On Dec. 2 - Dec. 3, they will be hosting a special sale on past season merchandise (and maybe some of this season's) from 10am-3pm on each day at a nearby bar called Del Ray. His manager was telling me that there was a big turnout last time they did this, so you should expect lots of people if you show up.

Here's the message:

We'll have lots of fall and winter merchandise as well as year around favorite jeans, tshirts and accessories from Nicholas K, Original Penguin, Nice Collective, Ben Sherman, Fred Perry, Earnest Sewn, Kicking Mule Workshop, Corpus and lots more - all marked down 40% to 90%!

Our friends at the Del Rey will be hosting this event again. They are located at 2332 1st Ave, at the corner of 1st Ave and Battery in Belltown, one block south of Kuhlman. There'll be complementary hors d'oeuvres and the bar will be open.

The Rules: Del Rey is a 21 and over establishment. Dogs are not allowed. Store credits will be not be usable at this sale. Visa, MasterCard, American Express cards and cash will be accepted. All sales are final. Thanks for your cooperation. And thanks for your continued support!

Did anyone check this out? I stopped in about 10 minutes after they opened the place this morning and they were already packed. They had some great stuff available though, and lots of different denim. Some douche bag also brought his dog with him, only to leave him out in the awful rain and snow mix that we're having today.

I snagged a couple of EG shirts (from S/S 06 or 05 I think) and some unbelievably awesome knits from Fred Perry, all for super cheap. The polo sweater is the best fitting one I've tried on, ever.

$50-ish on the Fred Perry stuff, though there were only a couple left as of this morning when I was in. There was also lots of other sweaters from Filippa K, Surface to Air, and a couple of other lines that I'm forgetting.

I was there at about 2 on sunday, by then all the nice shirts in my size were gone. Found an awesome looking J-lin henley, but it was a size too small and about $20 still too expensive. If you're looking to pick up something expensive for a price that's a little less expensive though, the suits/sportcoats are still there. The best thing I found was a blazer that turned out to belong to one of the employees there, who left it in the fitting room. Gutted.

Yeah, the shirts got picked clean in the medium and small sizes, but there was a great selection at the start. I was thinking about getting a third EG shirt, but it disappeared within the first minutes after I first walked past it. And did anyone here grab those Band of Outsider ties? There were a couple on Sunday.

That's not the same Kuhlman that you went to.

There's a chain called Kuhlman, and a small store in Seattle called Kuhlman, but they're not related. To add to the confusion, the CEO of the chain and the owner of the small store both share the same name.
