I just purchased my first RLBL suit

and it needs very minor alterations. The wait is 2+ plus weeks at the RL store and I was hoping to wear the new investment at a couple holiday parties. I am not expecting a miracle, but if someone could recommend a tailor that can do a hem in less time, I would appreciate it.

I've heard Despos is great, but he isn't doing alterations anymore and Boguslaw has gotten mixed reviews.

Paul Chang? I haven't used him but people say good things about him. This has come up before so a search may help you.

I hear mixed reviews on Chang as well. I did a search, but I must have misspelled something the first time because there are lots of threads popping up now. Thanks!

marie at the golden tailor on state street is supposed to be VERY good. but since i'm not bringing high end clothing to her place, i can't really say. that being said, she's not exactly what i thought a tailor would be doing, since she's always asking "what do you think", rather than telling me what looks good for my shape...

but that's just me.

my guy urek who i took many very nice RL suits to over the years has started to work out of his home in des plains. you go to him and he delivers the finished product. of course he doesn't charge as much now that he has no store. he does great work - 847-390-0708

he used to have mega tailor on dearborn and superior. i know you are thinking no way - but he will get it done well and on time.

pm me if you want to use my reference.
