Searching for comfortable, stylish jeans. Any suggestions?

As the title suggests I'm looking for recommendations on comfortable, stylish jeans. To be more specific, I'm looking for brand suggestions that are forgiving and roomy in the crotch but not as baggy as my grandfather's Wranglers. I find jeans to be extremely uncomfortable and have all but given up on them over the past few years. After trying many main stream brands, I currently own only one pair of jeans and strongly prefer chinos in casual settings. As a last ditch effort, I figured I would ask you all for suggestions / recommendations.

Try Seven for all Mankind or AG - the ones with a lycra blend in them. Denimheads will sneer at them, but they are super comfortable and they come in a range of fits to accommodate all builds.
