I'm trying to find a youthful-looking boat shoe not named sperry. I want something that will look nice with some nice denim, and something that won't make me look like a grandpa.

the only ones I sort of liked were the Clae Costeau(sp.) and when I tried them on I didn't like how it looked at all .

And no it doesn't have to be velcro

Any other suggestions??

if by 'youthful' you mean 'ugly' than you should try APC.

the appeal of the boat shoe is that the design is so simple and classic.

Sperry Top-Siders. That is, unless you want those abominations like Visvim Hockneys. I guess you could try Vans Zapato del Barco, but Sperry's are better. You really won't look like a grandpa.
