Hi there.

I recently purchased a new pair of AEs on Amazon. The shoes came with a few scuffs/abrasions that I feel may not be justified given that they are right out of the box. I could be totally off base, but any thoughts would be great.

Pictures included for reference.

First little one will polish out easily. The one on the tongue I’m not sure about, can’t tell if the actual leather is scarred or just a little bit of polish got knocked off. Have you tried hitting it with a brush and seeing if it polishes out?

Not yet but I'll try that, thanks for the tip!

I would not worry about either of those. As jdp indicated, the first will brush out. The second is typical, and is likely just abrasion due to the laces.

Enjoy your shoes!

Who was the seller?
I agree that the first pic won't be an issue with wear, but I've never seen tongues that look like the latter pictures.
Furthermore, even if shoes look like that after a few wears, it should be after MY wears, not someone else's. Hence why you bought new shoes, not used.
