I thought the new season of Scrubs was going to suck, since it had been taken off NBC and ABC picked it up.
Tonight they aired two new episodes which were actually really good. The first was really funny, the second was really beautiful. The second was probably my 3rd favorite episode ever-- behind My Lunch and My Fallen Idol.

If anyone watched the last show that aired before the writer's strike, it was that really stupid medieval themed show, so I was hoping this would be better. IT was!

Anyone else catch it or like the series?

I feel you dawg and agree that those were the two best, but you should give these two episodes tonight a try. Free on abc.com if you want.

I'm a big fan of Scrubs although I also didn't like the the last 2 seasons. I will be watching this season just to finish the series even if its not funny. I hope they end it with this season and not do some stupid spin off.

One hour and 30mins until the new episodes air for me.

The first couple of seasons were fantastic, actually. But the show went tremendously downhill after that. I think the producers forgot that, in order to successfully be silly, you have to be well-grounded in seriousness first. The first 2 or 3 seasons did a much better job of that than anything that followed. The last season was basically unwatchable.

It's a decent show, but I have an unquenchable desire to break Zack Braff's face with my fist.

World's most punchable face, SRSLY.

Well, finally caught the first two eppies of ABC Scrubs. West Coast time an' all that. First episode was pretty much regular ol' Scrubs, i.e. wacky, zany, and not all that great. Laughed out loud only once, early on with the intern who inappropriately touches everyone. Only real surprise: The Janitor got fired. And Courtney Cox as a guest star was kind of a dud (not a surprise). Second episode was light-years better. Very serious theme revolving around a patient who was about to die, and had no friends and family. Hit me especially hard, as my dad passed away a few months ago. Liked how JD was willing to describe the process of death to the patient, and how he and Turk stayed with him just shooting the ****, 'cuz that was the right thing to do in the circumstance. They can still write on that show, when they want to. But I fear we're back to 'wacky zany-ness' next episode, i.e. run-of-the-mill bad Scrubs. Or at least wacky Scrubs done not very well.

I'm more or less a Scrubs fan, although the last couple of seasons weren't great. But Sarah Chalke (especially in the early seasons) is smoking hot, and I enjoy some of the zaniness. JD and Turk are fun to watch. An old roommate and I had a bunch of inside jokes based on the show. The beginning of the episode based on The Wizard of Oz, with JD singing Toto's "Africa" in the tub, is a classic moment.

This show is so ******* annoying. I hate when it wastes time on Comedy Central.

+ 1. There's always that "Sometimes, in a hospital..." prepare-for-the-sap moment.
